{jcomments on}Based on a previous project (The IRDA-Print) i made a simple, but very effective brightness controller.
I use the following circuit in order to always have the same brightness in the room, no matter how the weather outside is and how late it is. :-)
Following is certainly not my best youtube video, but it shows how it adjusts the brightness.

The function:
The capacitor is charged. Thereafter, the GIO is switched to "input" and now a program loop continues until the capacitor is discharged. Meanwhile, a variable is incremented. Depending on the light of the value of the variable is now an indicator of the ambient brightness.
